The Rural Counties’ Environmental Services Joint Powers Authority (ESJPA) is currently partnering with Colusa, Mariposa, and Sierra counties to provide residents with free, safe ways to dispose of old tires. While many of our member counties manage their own local grants, the ESJPA directly administers this regional program to help reduce illegal dumping and protect public health in these three communities.
Current Disposal Opportunities:

Colusa County: Tire Amnesty Days are happening every Saturday this March at the Road Department in Williams.

Mariposa County: Residents can take advantage of Free Tire Day every Wednesday.

Sierra County: Free tire disposal is available daily at all five county transfer stations (weather permitting during winter months).
By participating in these programs, counties are helping to eliminate mosquito breeding grounds and reduce fire hazards in our rural neighborhoods.
