ESJPA advocates on behalf of rural counties on both legislative and regulatory matters and provides ongoing assistance to counties in their efforts to comply with State and federal environmental standards. ESJPA’s Board of Directors includes county Supervisors and technical staff who provide the direction and expertise needed in these critical areas.
Legislative
The importance of solid waste and recycling operations to California’s residents compels ESJPA to maintain a dynamic legislative portfolio throughout the year, advocating for the interests of rural counties.
Regulatory
ESJPA advocates across a variety of important regulatory focus areas. We are proud of our ability to successfully advocate while cultivating relationships to help influence and negotiate policy at state and federal agencies for the benefit of our members.
